1️⃣ Check the LifeX App 📱
We announce any planned water cuts as soon as we receive updates from our landlords. Check the app for the latest information! 📲
2️⃣ Is It the Whole Apartment or Just Certain Rooms? 🏠
Check whether the issue affects every tap or only certain rooms.
If only one tap is affected, its filter or aerator may be blocked.
If the whole apartment has no water, continue troubleshooting below.
💧 HAMBURG WASSER: Hamburg's Water Supplier
HAMBURG WASSER supplies drinking water in Hamburg. You can check whether there are reported interruptions or maintenance works affecting your area:
Check the list of current disruptions to see whether a water outage or maintenance work has been reported in your area.
If no interruption is listed, the issue may be inside your building.
⚠️ Unexpected Water Outage?
If there is no reported interruption:
Talk to your neighbours – Check whether other apartments are affected too.
Contact LifeX via the app – If the whole apartment or building is affected, let us know so we can investigate.
If you notice a burst pipe or water leaking inside your apartment, report it to LifeX immediately. If you can safely identify the main stop valve, turn off the water to prevent further damage.

🔥 No Hot Water? Here's What to Check!
If cold water is running but the water is not getting hot, follow these steps:
🛠️ 1. Check If Hot Water Works in Other Rooms
Try multiple taps (kitchen, bathroom and shower) to see whether the issue is isolated.
If only one tap is affected, the problem may be related to that tap or its installation.
⏳ 2. Give It Some Time
If there has recently been maintenance or an interruption, wait a few minutes and try again.
🏢 3. Check Whether Other Apartments Are Affected
Ask your neighbours whether they also have no hot water.
If several apartments are affected, the issue may be related to the building's hot-water system.
Hot water is managed through the property's internal installation or heating system. If cold water works but hot water does not, contact LifeX so we can investigate the issue with the building management.
