Before you try to fix the issue, check the following:

  1. Check the LifeX app, we announce any planned water cuts to different apartments as soon as we get the message from our landlords.

  2. Check if the whole apartment has no water or only certain rooms in the apartment.

Thames Water

Thames Water is the water supplier of our apartments in London.

  • Check out this interactive map to see the current status of all maintenance work and issues in the city. Find more info simply by putting your home address or zip code in the search bar.

  • If your apartment is in the affected areas, you will be able to see updates on the left-hand side of the webpage regarding the case in the area.

  • In the case of an unannounced interruption, such as a leak causing by a blown water pipe, LifeX couldn't really do anything to bring the water back other than reaching out to the company via reporting on this website or dialing the service number 0800 316 9800

  • If your water supply has been interrupted, it can lead to short-term discoloration of the water and that the taste changes. It is harmless to you as a user.

It's not about Thames Water! 😭

  • If there's no water cut shown in Thames Water's map, then most likely there's an urgent matter going on in the exact building you live in. In this case, please reach out to us in the LifeX app immediately, and we will take over the case from there.

  • Chances are, you may live in an area with many neighbors who are affected by this emergency. So, there might already be people reporting this issue before we even hear about it.

  • Relax, and let's wait a bit for the water to come back!

  • Plumbers are probably working very hard in the meantime to fix it. You can be sure that you will have water back in your apartment within a couple of hours.

  • If it is one of the faucets inside your apartment that is not working, please reach out to LifeX immediately in the LifeX app.
