LifeX is your home, and while our housekeepers come regularly, they can't do it all by themselves. We expect members to keep their homes tidy and clean, whether you have Regular Services or Service Plus.

You can check the frequency of cleaning in the LifeX App:

๐Ÿ“ Apartment > Apartment Specifications > Services

This will show you which days your housekeeper is scheduled to visit.

Cleaning services may vary depending on whether your home has Service Plus or Regular Services. Please review the information below to understand how cleaning is scheduled and what responsibilities you have as a member.

๐Ÿงน Service Levels: Service Plus vs. Regular Services

The main difference between Service Plus and Regular Service apartments is the frequency of housekeeping visits. Service Plus apartments receive weekly housekeeping, while Regular Service apartments are cleaned every two weeks.

๐Ÿšฟ In the Bathrooms:

  • Cleaning the toilet, sink, shower, and bath (members must remove personal items beforehand)

Housekeeping Policies

What Housekeepers Do NOT Do

Housekeepers only follow the LifeX cleaning schedule โ€“ they are not responsible for:

  • Washing dirty dishes

  • Emptying or loading dishwasher

  • Cleaning up after parties or gatherings

  • Taking out trash that has not been sorted correctly

  • Taking out trash that is less than half full

Housekeeping Services Are Subject to Change

  • Housekeeper availability may cause occasional adjustments โ€“ in the event of cancellations (e.g., sickness), LifeX will arrange a replacement service where possible.

No Housekeeping on Public Holidays

Housekeepers do not work public holidays (e.g., Easter, Christmas, New Year). Cleaning will resume on the next available day.

Missed Cleaning Days โ€“ Refund Policy

๐Ÿ”นWhether you're in a Regular or Service Plus apartment, if a scheduled cleaning is missed and cannot be rescheduled, we will reimburse you for that cleaning. However, if the cleaning can be rescheduled at any point, no reimbursement will be provided.

What to Do if Your Housekeeper Doesn't Arrive on the Scheduled Day

It can be frustrating when your housekeeper doesn't arrive as planned. Here is what you can do to manage the situation:

Step 1: Allow the Full Scheduled Timeframe

Housekeepers may arrive at any point within their scheduled timeframe. If the cleaning time is 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, they can arrive any time between those hours. Ensure that sufficient time has elapsed before taking further steps.

Step 2: Check the LifeX App for Updates

Use the LifeX app to check for real-time updates about your housekeeper's arrival. Delays may occur due to reasons like holidays, illness, or scheduling conflicts. The app will notify you of any changes or delays in the schedule.

Step 3: Confirm Your Cleaning Schedule

Take a moment to verify your regular cleaning schedule in the app under Apartment > Apartment Specifications > Services. Cleaning appointments may be bi-weekly or follow another frequency based on your service level. Confirming your cleaning date in advance can help eliminate misunderstandings.

Key Takeaways:

  • Always check both the scheduled timeframe and the app before assuming no-show.

  • Delays may happen due to external factors like holidays or illnesses.

  • You can reschedule or request a replacement service through LifeX. By following these steps, you can ensure minimal disruptions to your cleaning schedule.

Housekeeping Sets the Baseline โ€“ Members Must Maintain Cleanliness

Even with housekeeping services, you are responsible for cleaning up after yourself:

  • Kitchen: Always clean up after cooking, donโ€™t leave dirty dishes in the sink.

  • Bathrooms: Wipe up spills and keep personal items organised.

  • Common Areas: Keep shared spaces tidy for everyoneโ€™s comfort.

Requesting a Deep Cleaning For Your Apartment

Members can request deep cleaning for their apartment by contacting Customer Support through the LifeX app.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ”น ALL apartments are entitled to up to two deep cleans per calendar year.
๐Ÿ”น LifeX will provide all necessary cleaning supplies for deep cleans.
๐Ÿ”น Please note: Deep cleaning does not include private rooms or private bathrooms.
๐Ÿ”น To ensure we address the right areas, we require clear instructions and photos indicating the specific common areas and spots that need attention.

Trash Bag + Vacuum Bag Supply for Housekeepers โ€“ Common Areas ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธโœจ

In order to maintain clean and well-managed common areas, we provide housekeepers with large bin bags for trash bins in shared spaces, allowing them to easily change the trash bags during cleaning. We also provide housekeepers with vacuum bags allowing them to use the vacuum easily โ™ป๏ธ

Please note that we supply trash bags and vacuum bags for common areas only (not for private rooms, as we do not clean individual rooms). When we say "supply," it means that we send and keep a stock of trash bags available for housekeepers to use as needed ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ”„
