LifeX is your home, and while our housekeepers come regularly, they can't do it all by themselves. We expect members to keep their homes tidy and clean.

You can check the frequency of cleaning in the LifeX App:

๐Ÿ“ Apartment > Apartment Specifications > Services

Cleaning services may vary depending on whether your home has Service Plus or Regular Services. Please review the information below to understand how cleaning is scheduled and what responsibilities you have as a member.

๐Ÿงน Service Levels: Service Plus vs. Regular Services

Service Plus

Cleaning hours are based on occupancy and home size (sqm), distributed as follows:

  • Day 1: Living area, dining area, kitchen, and bathrooms

  • Day 2: Bathrooms (and kitchen surfaces if time allows)

๐Ÿ“Œ Important:

  • ๐Ÿ›Please note that we no longer provide room cleaning or bed linen change services.

Regular Services

  • Shared spaces are cleaned twice a month

  • More responsibilities for members โ€“ You and your flatmates should create a cleaning schedule to maintain the home.

Housekeeping Policies

What Housekeepers Do NOT Do

Housekeepers only follow the LifeX cleaning schedule โ€“ they are not responsible for:

  • Washing dirty dishes

  • Cleaning up after parties

  • Tidying personal belongings in your room

Housekeeping Services Are Subject to Change

  • Cleaning schedules depend on occupancy โ€“ if fewer people live in the home, cleaning frequency or hours may be reduced.

  • Housekeeper availability may cause occasional adjustments โ€“ in the event of cancellations (e.g., sickness), LifeX will arrange a replacement service if possible.

  • Extreme changes (e.g., reducing from 2 to 1 visit per week) will always be communicated in advance.

No Housekeeping on Public Holidays

Housekeepers do not work on major public holidays (e.g., Easter, Christmas, New Year). Cleaning will resume on the next available day.

Missed Cleaning Days โ€“ Refund Policy

  • Service Plus: If 2 or more housekeeping days are missed within 2 consecutive weeks, you will receive a refund.

  • Regular Services: If 1 or more housekeeping days are missed within the month, you will receive a refund.

Housekeeping Sets the Baseline โ€“ Members Must Maintain Cleanliness

Even with housekeeping services, you are responsible for cleaning up after yourself:

  • Kitchen: Always clean up after cooking, donโ€™t leave dirty dishes in the sink.

  • Bathrooms: Wipe up spills and keep personal items organised.

  • Common Areas: Keep shared spaces tidy for everyoneโ€™s comfort.

๐Ÿ“Œ Housekeepers are here to clean the apartment, not to pick up after you. Let's work together to keep our homes clean, cozy, and respectful for everyone.

Requesting a Deep Cleaning

Members can request deep cleaning through the LifeX app.
โ€‹

๐Ÿ“Œ For Regular Services homes:

  • Bedrooms and bathrooms will NOT be deep cleaned by LifeX. It is the memberโ€™s responsibility to clean their room and bathrooms throughout their stay and before moving out.

General Housekeeping Tasks

  • Cleaning all surfaces

  • Emptying the bin (waste must be properly bagged and bins should not be overflowing)

Trash Bag Supply for Housekeepers โ€“ Common Areas ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธโœจ

In order to maintain clean and well-managed common areas, we provide housekeepers with bin bags for trash bins in shared spaces, allowing them to easily change the trash bags during cleaning. โ™ป๏ธ

To streamline the process, Order Stock Forms will be updated so that Service Managers can ensure housekeepers have an adequate supply of trash bags for their cleaning stock. ๐Ÿ“‹โœ…

Please note that we supply trash bags for common areas only (not for private rooms, as we do not clean individual rooms). When we say "supply," it means that we send and keep a stock of trash bags available for housekeepers to use as needed. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ”„
