Electricité De France (EDF):
In the event of a regional power failure in your area in Paris, you can see reported disruptions on this website.
If both you and your neighbors are cut off from the electricity, and the interruption does not appear on the website, then you should inform LifeX or call EDF's emergency number on +33 0333 200 5100. It may take some time from when you experience an acute power outage until it is registered on EDF's website.
The whole building is suffering from a sudden power outage 🤔
If there is no power in the hallways outside of your apartment, then it means the whole building or area is affected by a power cut. A power line might be interrupted due to an accident or work in the area.
Only our apartment has no electricity 🤯
Very often, a blown fuse in the domestic electricity connection cabinet is the reason why you suffer from a sudden power cut. This type of power outage is likely to be triggered by people using consumer equipment or household appliances and overloading the power grid.
If you want to change the fuse or try to fix the issue by yourself ⚡️
Before changing any fuses or turning back on the RCD switch, please make sure that there is no immediate danger for you or other persons in the house. Otherwise, kindly reach out to us in the LifeX app, we will send an electrician to help you out.
