Construction noise can be a real nuisance, but donโ€™t worryโ€”weโ€™ve got you covered. Here are some steps you can follow if youโ€™re dealing with noise near your home.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Before you try to fix the issue, check the following:

  • Check the LifeX app:
We always announce any planned construction works near our apartments as soon as we hear from our landlords. Stay updated through the app for real-time notifications! ๐Ÿ“ฑ

  • Know the regulations:
According to German regulations, construction work is allowed from 7 AM to 8 PM from Monday to Saturday in Munich.
On public holidays and Sundays, construction work is strictly prohibited. ๐Ÿ›‘

๐Ÿค” What can you do?

  • Experiencing noise outside of legal hours?
If the noise is happening before 7 AM or on a public holiday, you can report it to us. Simply record the noise (a video or audio proof is the best way) and send it via the LifeX app. Weโ€™ll then forward the evidence to the landlord to ensure construction starts only after 7 AM on weekdays and Saturdays.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Public construction work

Unfortunately, when it comes to public construction projects (such as roadworks or municipal work), there is little LifeX can do to control or change the situation. In these cases, no discounts will be offered since it's outside of our control. ๐Ÿ˜•

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ”ง How LifeX can assist you:

Although we canโ€™t always stop the noise, we can provide you with some support:

  • Earplugs:
If the noise is getting in the way, we can provide earplugs to help you sleep or work in peace. ๐Ÿ˜ด

  • Room swap:
In exceptional cases, we may be able to offer a room swap. If the noise becomes unbearable, reach out to us, and weโ€™ll do our best to assist you. ๐Ÿ”„
