Recycling & Trash Bins โ What You Need to Know
All LifeX homes are equipped with recycling containers located in the kitchen, helping us all do our part to reduce waste and protect the environment ๐
In some apartments with Regular Services, you may notice only the most common bins (such as bio waste and general waste) in the kitchen. This is to save space โ however, recycling is still required โ ๐ here.
๐ How to Recycle Correctly
Please take a look at the basic illustrations and signs for recycling in your city. These will help you understand how to sort your waste properly.
You can find more info and useful links ๐ [here] (insert link)
Recycling signs may vary slightly depending on the city, but they generally include:
โป๏ธ Plastic & packaging (yellow bin)
๐๏ธ Paper & cardboard (blue bin)
๐ Bio waste (brown bin)
๐๏ธ General waste (grey/black bin)
๐พ Glass (special containers, usually outside)
๐ฎ Who Takes Care of the Trash?
๐งโโ๏ธ Residents are fully responsible for properly sorting the waste into the correct bins.
๐งน Housekeepers will not re-sort trash โ if waste is incorrectly sorted, the bins might not be taken out by the cleaning team.
๐๏ธ Housekeepers take out the trash only on their designated cleaning days.
๐ฆ If bins are full outside of cleaning days, please take them down to the courtyard containers yourself. Keeping shared spaces tidy is a shared responsibility!
โ ๏ธ A Few Important Notes
๐งด Pfand (deposit) bottles are not managed by housekeepers. Please return them using the appropriate machines or shops.
๐๏ธ Housekeepers do not take care of:
Overflowing or extra trash
Bags that are too heavy
Trash generated from private parties or events
