Cooker Safety Sensor (Komfyrvakt) - Oslo

Some LifeX kitchens are equipped with a cooker safety sensor (komfyrvakt). It is an important safety device that helps prevent fires caused by overheating or unsafe cooking.

🛡️ What is a cooker safety sensor?

The cooker safety sensor monitors the temperature around the stove. If it detects a potentially dangerous situation, such as overheating, it can give a warning and, if necessary, switch off the power to the stove.

The sensor works automatically, so you do not need to turn it on or off.

⚠️ If the sensor gives a warning

If the cooker safety sensor gives a warning while you are cooking:

🔎 Check the stove and the food immediately.
🔥 Reduce the heat or turn off the stove if needed.
🚨 If there is smoke, move away from the stove and make sure the situation is safe.
⏸️ Do not continue cooking until the warning has stopped and the stove is safe to use again.
🚫 If the safety system has switched off the power to the stove, do not try to bypass or disconnect the sensor.

🚨 Please keep the sensor clear

Please make sure that the area around the cooker safety sensor remains clear.

🚫 Do not cover, block, disconnect or tamper with the sensor, as this can affect its ability to work correctly.

🔧 If the sensor keeps giving warnings

If the sensor gives repeated warnings when there is no obvious reason, or you think it is not working correctly, please contact LifeX Support through the app.

🚫 Please do not try to repair, disconnect or remove the sensor yourself.

❗ Important

The cooker safety sensor is an additional safety measure and does not replace safe cooking practices.

Always keep an eye on your food while cooking and never leave cooking unattended.
