How to Recycle? Who Takes Care of Taking the Trash Out? โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ

Recycling Trash Bins
All our homes are equipped with recycling containers in the kitchen for your convenience. ๐Ÿก

To make the recycling process more organized, weโ€™ve provided three bins:

  • General waste

  • Plastic waste

  • Organic waste

Additionally, thereโ€™s a separate bin for paper, cardboard, and milk/juice cartons. ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐Ÿถ

Recycling Instructions
Please make sure to follow the guidelines provided by the Municipality of Oslo for proper sorting:

  • Food waste should be placed in green bags. ๐Ÿฅฆ

  • Plastic waste goes in purple bags. ๐ŸŸฃ

  • Residual waste can be placed in ordinary waste bags or grocery bags. ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the basic recycling signs in your city below. You can also visit the official websites for more detailed information before you start sorting. Find out more ๐Ÿ‘‰ here.

Who takes care of sorting and taking the trash out?

โ€‹Members are fully responsible for sorting the waste properly into the correct trash bins. ๐Ÿšฎ The housekeeper will not re-sort waste if it's not properly done in advance. This could result in trash bins not being taken out. ๐Ÿšซ

Housekeepers will only take out the trash on their designated cleaning days. ๐Ÿงน

If the trash bin is full outside of cleaning days, please make sure to take it to the courtyard and dispose of it in the designated trash containers yourself. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ”„

Important Note: Housekeepers will not handle overflowing trash bins, full bags, or too heavy bags. They also wonโ€™t clean up extra waste due to private parties. ๐ŸŽ‰
