We understand how frustrating it can be when the internet is down — whether you're working from home, watching your favorite series, or simply browsing. At LifeX, we always aim to provide the best possible connection, but sometimes, we depend on third-party providers to get things running smoothly.

Let’s walk you through what to do if your internet isn’t working or is unstable 👇

✅ Start with These Quick Checks

1️⃣ Check for any updates on the LifeX App
We’ll let you know if there's any planned maintenance or known outages in your building or area.

2️⃣ Check your internet provider's status page
For most homes in Oslo, the provider is Global Connect.

💡 If you're not sure who your provider is, feel free to message us via the LifeX app.

3️⃣ Check your router
Make sure:

  • The router is plugged in ⚡

  • The lights on the router are on (green or blinking is good!)

  • Restart the router (turn it off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on)

4️⃣ Check the WiFi access points
Some homes have multiple WiFi access points throughout the apartment — these might look different depending on the model. Make sure they are all properly connected and powered on 🔌

💻 Still No Internet?

If the problem continues, we’ll need a bit more info to help troubleshoot with the provider. Here’s what to do next:

🧪 Step 1: Run a Speed Test

  • On your device, go to fast.com or just Google “speed test”

  • Take a screenshot of the results (download & upload speeds)

  • Send it to us via the LifeX app

💬 Step 2: Describe the Issue

Let us know:

  • Is the internet completely off?

  • Is the connection dropping in and out?

  • Is the internet very slow?

  • When did it start, and how often does it happen?
