📌 Initial Invoice (Before Move-In)
After signing your contract with LifeX, you will receive your initial invoice, which must be paid within 24 hours of receipt.
What it includes:
Security deposit
Prepaid rent (applied to your last month at LifeX)
Prepaid utilities (applied to your last month at LifeX)
One-time non-refundable fee for administration, move-in and move-out cleaning

Please note, this section is only for new LifeX members. We do not need proof of payment sent to the above email each month.
🏡 First-Month Invoice
On your move-in day, you will receive your first months invoice. It will include:
Your first month’s rent (pro rated where necessary)
Your first month's utilities (pro rated where necessary)
🔁 Monthly Invoices
From the following month onward please ensure all invoices are paid by the 1st of the month. If you anticipate any payment delays, notify the in app customer support team.
📌 As a recommendation, if you haven’t yet received your invoice but your payment date is approaching, you can refer to your contract to see the monthly rent amount and proceed with the transfer to avoid delays.
💳 Accepted Payment Methods
To make your payments smoothly—especially if transferring from outside Germany —we recommend using Wise (formerly TransferWise) due to favourable exchange rates and lower fees. 💡 Bank account details are clearly shown on each invoice you receive.
✅ Accepted Methods:
Local & international bank transfers
Transfers via Wise, Monzo, The Currency Cloud, etc.
❌ Not Accepted:
Credit card payments
Online payment portals
Cheques
Cash
Mobile payments (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.)
🧠 Payment Guidelines
🧾 Always include your member number or reference number with your payment to help us match it correctly.
🏦 Bank details for payment are clearly provided on your invoice.
⏱️ You do not need to wait for your invoice to be sent to pay your rental amount. Your amount is the same each month and is sent to the same bank account. Invoices are sent only as a courtesy on the last day of the month.
💸 Any bank fees for international transfers are the members responsibility.
⚖️ Late payments will incur fees as per German financial regulations.
🏦 Always refer to the bank account details listed on your invoices to avoid discrepancies.
