📜 Termination of Tenancy Agreement

🔹 Why Is There a 3-Month Minimum Rental Period?

Section 16 of your contract states that your tenancy agreement cannot be terminated within the first 3 months of your lease—no exceptions.

🔹 This 3-month term aligns with Norwegian rental regulations to ensure stability for both tenants and landlords.
🔹 It also allows LifeX to provide a well-maintained and organized living environment, while still offering flexibility to members.

📌 Bottom Line: You must commit to at least 3 months as per your contract, even if LifeX markets flexibility in its stay durations.

Please note that we will not accept terminations before the 3-month minimum has passed—no exceptions. You will be required to cover all rental fees for the full 3-month period, even if you choose to leave early. This policy is strictly enforced and applies to all members, regardless of circumstances.

📑 Contract Policies

🖊 How Long Do I Have to Sign My Contract?

Once you receive your contract, you have 48 hours to review and sign it.

⚠️ If we do not receive your signed contract within this time, your booking will be canceled, and the room will be made available for other applicants.

📅 When Does My Membership Begin?

Your LifeX membership starts on the date stated in your contract, not on the date you arrive.

🏢 Company-Paid Rent & Corporate Arrangements

💼 My Company Is Paying for My Stay—How Does This Work?

If your employer is covering part or all of your rent, we can arrange to send invoices directly to your company.

💡 However, you must still sign the rental contract in your own name and remain personally responsible for it.

📜 Why Do I Need to Sign the Contract in My Name?

Norwegian law requires all tenants to register their residence with local authorities. To do this, you need a rental contract in your own name—even if your company is paying.

🤝 What If My Company Is a LifeX Partner?

If you signed up through your company’s LifeX landing page, invoicing arrangements have already been made with your HR or management team.

📧 What If My Company Is Not a LifeX Partner?

If your employer is not yet a LifeX partner but is covering part or all of your rent, please have your HR or manager contact us at [email protected] to set up invoicing.
