LifeX enforces a strict No Smoking Policy in all apartments. This policy is outlined in our Code of Conduct, which you can view here.
🔹 What You Agree to When Signing a Contract
By signing your contract, you agree that:
"I will NOT smoke or do drugs inside the house or through an open window. Smoking is only allowed outdoors, on balconies, terraces, or yards."
🚨 Violating this rule can lead to a series of warnings and, ultimately, contract termination.
💡 Norden smoking policy
At Norden, there is no smoking indoors, on balconies, or by the main entrance. Smoking is only allowed at the Corgade 14 entrance.
⚠ What Happens If You Smoke Indoors?
If evidence of smoking is found inside a LifeX apartment, the following actions will be taken:
1️⃣ First Instance – Warning
Private Room Violation: The member responsible will receive a warning.
Common Area Violation: All members of the apartment will receive a warning.
2️⃣ Second Instance – Fine Issued
A fine will be applied to cover additional cleaning costs:
📌 If smoking occurred in a private room/private apartment:
500 DKK / 75 EUR / 750 NOK (charged to the responsible member)
📌 If smoking occurred in common areas:
1500 DKK / 225 EUR / 2250 NOK (split between all members of the apartment)
3️⃣ Third Instance – Contract Termination
LifeX may terminate the member(s) contract(s).
Additional cleaning fees will be deducted from the deposit to cover damages.

This policy exists to maintain a healthy, safe, and comfortable living environment for all members. Please smoke only in designated outdoor areas and ensure compliance to avoid penalties.
