📜 Termination of Tenancy Agreement
Your tenancy agreement cannot be terminated within the first 3 months from your lease start date.
🔹 This 3-month period follows Danish rental regulations, ensuring stability for both tenants and landlords.
🔹 It also helps LifeX maintain a well-organised and consistent living environment while still offering flexibility to members.
🔹 Your minimum rental period may vary (3 or 6 months) depending on your contract arrangement. Before terminating your contract, please review prior communication to confirm your specific minimum stay requirement.
📌 Important: If you terminate your contract before fulfilling the agreed minimum rental period, any discounts applied to your booking will need to be repaid in full.
Please note that we will not accept terminations before the 3-month minimum has passed—no exceptions. You will be required to cover all rental fees for the full 3-month period, even if you choose to leave early. This policy is strictly enforced and applies to all members, regardless of circumstances.
💰 Deposit Refund Process
🕒 When Will I Get My Deposit Back?
LifeX will return your deposit within a maximum of 6 months after you move out. However, we aim to refund it within 45 business days (about 2 months) after your contract ends, as long as there are no pending charges or damages.
🔍 Why Does It Take Time?
Danish law allows landlords to hold the deposit until all outstanding payments—such as utilities and damage costs—are settled. LifeX follows this process to ensure all financial obligations are cleared before issuing refunds.
✅ Is the Deposit Fully Refundable?
Yes! Your full deposit will be refunded if your room is returned in the same condition as when you moved in.

Services like cleaning and shared household supplies are not part of standard Danish rental agreements—which is why they are not included in the rental contract.

🖊 How Long Do I Have to Sign My Contract?
Once you receive your contract, you have 48 hours to review and sign it.
⚠️ If we do not receive your signed contract within this time, your booking will be canceled, and the room will be offered to other applicants.
📅 When Does My Membership Begin?
Your LifeX membership starts on the date stated in your contract, not on the date you move in.
🏢 Company-Paid Rent & Corporate Arrangements
💼 My Company Is Paying for My Stay—How Does This Work?
If your employer is covering part or all of your rent, we can arrange for invoices to be sent directly to your company.
💡 However, you will still need to sign the rental contract in your own name and remain personally responsible for it.
📜 Why Do I Need to Sign the Contract in My Name?
Danish law requires that all tenants register their residence with the authorities. To do this, you need a rental contract in your own name—even if your company is paying.
🤝 What If My Company Is a LifeX Partner?
If you signed up through your company’s LifeX landing page, invoicing arrangements have already been made with your HR or management team.
